SSS Monday Challenge: Make your own Background

Image
Happy Sunday! Just popping in with my card for the  SSS Monday Challenge: Make your own background .  I had the pleasure of making a simple Thank You card for a friend. I painted the card with layers of watercolored Indigo, attempting to make it look as the card was dipped. I cut 4 Lawn Fawn “Thanks” from 110 lb white paper and glued them together so they would pop. I finished it off with a few water droplets from Studio Katia.  Thanks for stopping by!

PinkFresh Studio April Challenge

Hey everyone! I’ve been incognito recently...I think it is partly Post Christmas craft let down and partly going through the paces of moving homes.  This was my first Christmas season papercrafting and I was not prepared for what happens after. It’s like you are in such a craft and Christmas frenzy to get it all done and then...poof. It’s over. I had a difficult time getting motivated, something I kept seeing on all my fellow crafters blogs and posts as well. I decided to do what I tell my children, just take the next action and soon you will begin to feel the feelings again. So I decided to take the action. I reached out to my bestie and asked her to teach me how to scrapbook. I am intimidated by Scrapbook Layouts so what better time to just try it. Just take the Action! I had just bought some product from PinkFresh Studio and decided to enter their  April Challenge  on the Scrapbook side (gasp!).  Here is my ver first layout, which I can’t wait to look back at one day!

Where Creativity meets C9 : Challenge 17

Hey there! Happy Sunday. I have a funny story about this card. I wanted to enter the  Where Creativity Meets C9  latest Challenge which is to use your first Concord & 9th set. So, I know exactly what set that is... Many Mandalas. So I’ve been searching high and low for this set for weeks! Ever since the challenge was announced. I even flirted briefly with using the 2nd stamp set I purchased rationalizing that no one would know. But I would know, so no can do. Well I finally found it 2 days ago stashed away with my Christmas stuff as well as a birthday card from one of my crafty friends that I could not find to post!  I’m so disorganized!!! So without any more chatter, here is my just dried enough to photograph but not to mail card: Isn’t she dreamy?! Love how this turned out. I used the largest 2 stamp set of the Many Mandala set and stamped with Versamark then embossed with Hero Arts Pearl EP. Same with the sentiment. Then I used my new Nuvo brushes and some Lawn Fa

MFT Sketch Challenge 368

Hi there! Popping in to show my card for the  MFT Sketch Challenge 368 .  This card was a true labor of love. It’s my Galentines card for my sister. She’s not one for traditional hearts, flowers, etc. But she loves bright and happy colors! I used my tried and true MFT Hugs die to send some hugs across the miles to NY! Thanks for stopping by!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge 20- Fun with Food !

Image
Happy New Year!!! So, this year I have resolved to blog on a regular basis. I am currently scouring the internet for a blog planner. Any assistance is much appreciated! Today I am showing you my entry into   Lawnfawnatics Challenge 20 :  Fun with food!! I think Lawn Fawn has the best food stamps, and I was lucky to get “Baked with Love” stamp set for Christmas.  I am also entering this into the  Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge : A Spot of Blue. This is a birthday card for hubby as he likes CAS cards.  Also, this is the very first card I used masking on! Santa forgot the coordinating dies and I was forced to try masking. Which is also on my 2018 list of crafty things to try.   I stamped the images with Simon says Stamp black ink and colored with Copics and Spectrum Noir alcohol markers. I used a white pen for highlights and Glossy Accents on the heart and cupcake frosting which does not photograph at all!  I propped the card onto some lipstick red paper and mounted on
